People set goals everyday, every time they see something they want or like, But how many times do they achieve what they dream? One problem with people is that more than often, the goals they set are too unattainable, or too ambiguous, it doesn’t seem like you really want to achieve it at all.

The goal or dream you set must be so important to you that you think of it all day long, and even dreaming of achieving it.

The biggest mistake people make in goal setting is setting ambiguous goals like”I want to earn a lot of money”, “I want to go on a holiday” or “I want to be rich”.

When you join a Network Marketing/ MLM company, your upline will first get to you set your goal. If you set ambiguous goals, you are only setting it for your upline,these goals are set not for oneself, but for others.

When you join MLM/ Network Marketing, you have to remember that your uplines is not your boss. You don’t have to please them.

You do not have to report to anybody in MLM/ Network Marketing. You are your boss. You control your life, and how you want to do the business.

Find out what are the things that have importance to you and can motivate you. And set specific goals that achieve it.

An example will be: I want to earn $6000, by the end of may to bring my family for a holiday to Japan.

It is important to set your goal as detailed and specific as possible. So you know exactly what you want. These goals should be close to your heart and personal. And it should be important that you achieve it, so you will not give up easily.

You need to have a dateline to achieve your goal so you can plan how you can achieve it. If you don’t set a date to achieve your goal, you will never achieve it, because you won’t feel the urgency to achieve them.

If your boss didn’t set you a dateline for the report he asked you to do, would you have felt the urgency to complete it or would you take your own sweet time? You need to focus on today and force yourself to work towards a dateline.

To seal your commitment to achieve your goal, you should make it to a promise. Promise the people involved in your goal that you will achieve it for them. This gives you more reason to achieve the goal.
